Horus totally deserved what happened to him. After everything Seth went through all he wanted from the beginning was his little family of three. He did open his heart to Horus but he lost trust in Horus after all the secrets and lies Horus kept from him. Seth carries a great burden and while he loves Horus (it's clear he does) he can't just randomly dump his past and stop caring for these that were his responsibility. I myself pity Horus for the last heartbreaking scene but Seth was hurt too and wanting Seth to suffer more and come to Horus like that, won't be love. It will be guilt and that's toxic trait for the both. Seth is a pushover, caring for everyone but himself and Horus is selfish but still a good soul. Their relationship isn't an easy thing and they both deserve to have their time. Seth needs to heal from everything, from being raped by multiple people, betrayed by his wife, abandoned by his whole family, degraded from a God to a human, carrying a burden of lost souls and his son's curse. He needs to heal before he can actually have his love life with Horus.

To be fair, Zeus didn't "kill Nephthys". In Seth's eyes Horus may have done that. He reacted strongly and violently. It was instinct but not on purpose. If you go back and read the scene, you will see that Seth immediately was shocked by his own actions.
