I have read around 2,500 manga but this is the only one I come back to once a year to read again and again. It holds a special place in my heart, I never had a favorite manga or story till I read this back in 2019. Its such a beautiful story. I recommend this story to all my friends constantly.
With the poor rating I thought it was going to be way worse than it was. It was actually an easy story to read, some plot holes and the art was off at times but overall not that bad. I actually found the story to be cute and it didnt rely on sex scenes to move the plot forward plus no rape which we love. The time traveler becoming an idol is a very cute concept. It felt a bit rushed at the end but again not that bad.
I have been so traumatized by BL mangas that i was expecting the golden retriever character to switch mid way through like he was pretending to be innocent but thank goodness he was genuinely an adorable golden retriever boyfriend who was innocent and vulnerable which made me love him so much. The captain was a bit rough at the start but i loved how he slowly warmed up to his emotional golden retriever man and the ending made me genuinely smile. Adorable and fluffy, easy read and comforting. Would recommend
The story had potential but it got ruined by the characters and plot holes. The main characters have this constant rapey relationship throughout the entire manga. It never feels romantic or loving, which was disappointing. The art style is lovely tho and the only character i kept reading for was Christian Ulpengamort, such a gorgeous and elegant man. I only wish he got his happy ending. He was to wonderful for this story. Maybe I am just bias towards men with long hair...
I kept feeling like something bad was going to happen after chapter 30, luckily nothing bad did happen but it was a lingering feeling. I felt so conflicted while reading this, its kinda incest which is usually a red flag for me but the dynamics between the two made me feel so conflicted. Thats the only emotion I have about this manga, conflicted. It was psychological and yet romantic, i ended up feeling bad for all the characters. Decent story just alot, felt a constant heaviness while reading. Maybe that was the point, wish the ending gave me to lift this heaviness but seems happy.
