Only read season one in hopes the plot would develop better but it didn’t. Almost every other sexual encounter was rape.
To be fair this “review” is just of season one because I couldn’t bring myself to continue reading.
For me, hyeonjin was just too unserious and pompous. He treated everything so casually but in a disingenuous way. I kept waiting for the ball to drop, like waiting for hyeonjin to finally show his true colors. At one point jaewon even mentions how hyeonjin treats everything too casually and yet nothing changes. I understand he has no ulterior motive but he just seems disingenuous and I can’t get passed that.
Like jaewon seems like a fully fleshed out character while hyeonjin gives off fuck boy vibes despite constantly confessing and nothing more. Jaewon has reason to be conflicted. He has reason to be upset. He has reason to be cautious. Hyeonjin just silences and soothes him with sex but never addresses anything.
Maybe season two gets better but I have little interest to continue reading .
Well!! In first few episodes Jaewon already told that Hyeonjin is nonchalant, even after being unserious on many points, he have always expressed his feelings towards genuine and is always serious about his work, Hyeonjin literally left his job just to follow Jaewon, maybe actions speaks louder than words
At first, that’s how I thought too. Like hes wasnt a character of so many words but he was of action. But then there was little to no action or words from Hyeonjin, just sex. And then it keeps being brought up that he’s so amazing and smart. So leaving his job to go to another wouldn’t have been a big deal. The more I read, the less it seemed like Hyeonjin cared. But maybe I just read it wrong/missed something or it can gets better later on. But overall I couldn’t get past how nonchalant and uncaring he seemed.

It’s actually comical how all of the interesting plot points in this piece are never addressed. There is no actual resolution but they get their happily ever after and it’s so cute lol it’s so weird. You never find out why Heesu was actually interested in saha initially. You never find out about the sleep walking. You never find out about the divine power thing. You never find out why the brother was getting better. The rape scene in chapter 32 is never spoken of and is completely glossed over. The only storyline that you actually get answers to is was how the brother died.
Side stories are quite fun as they don’t add or take away anything from the actually story
I can’t say I disliked or liked the story. It feels very unfinished but at the same time it gets randomly tied up nicely.
Dropped at chapter 50. The plot is somewhat interesting but it’s all very confusing. All of the “sex” scenes are harsh and violent. Even if the acts were supposedly consensual. The first “sexual” encounter was rape, no matter how the author tried to throw a in an inconspicuous flashback of a “drunk” uke. And every subsequent encounter gets progressively worse.

Only read from a friend’s recommendation since i do not typically like omegaverse stories. The story is very much the tried and true: weak omega and strong dominant hero alpha. This was okay, a little choppy on the timeline/flow of the story. The romance aspect was lacking. No SA (Thank god).
The plot though was very interesting and i wished the author dove more into that. Song yeon -woo, the omega, was attacked by a college alpha friend so he ran away to his uncle’s. While waiting for the bus, he stumbles upon an injured Kim Shin (alpha), and invites him to shelter. Flash forward three years and basically some alpha (a red haired dude) that dislikes Shin comes up with some crazy weird plan to knock Shin down a few pegs. That red haired dude somehow manipulates the old college alpha friend who attacked Yeon woo into investigating and finally kidnapping Yeon-woo.
That’s the plot. Almost the entire story is just Yeon-woo having “secret” feelings for Shin but being too insecure to do anything about it and in the background different sets of people trying to get rid of Shin or trying to get revenge of some kind. The only action is in the last 5-7 chapters.
So overall, it’s an okay read.
Only commenting because there’s so many positive comments but none that actually describe a major theme in the story. It’s that troupe where the main character is in love with his bff. Had I known this was a main part of the story I wouldn’t have started to read it. It drags on and really sours the rest of the story for me. I don’t like stories where the unrequited love with someone else is too prevalent in the story. Leewon’s feelings for his bff are very much the focal point throughout the story, especially in relation to the romance with Il.
Dropped around chapter 41 so I don’t know how the rest of the story plays out.
I think it’s probably not mentioned much in the comments because, in the context of the full story, it really isn’t as major of a plot point as it might seem at this point. I was pretty wary of it too, and honestly expected the unrequited love to be dragged out much more (especially based on how other manhwas tend to handle this trope), but I actually think the way it’s handled and eventually resolved is done pretty well.
It definitely helps develop Leewon’s character, but I don’t think the story uses his feelings for his BFF as a plot device to push his relationship with Il forward, which I really appreciated. If you’ve already made it to chapter 40+, I’d definitely give it another chance!
Good to hear that part isn’t dragged on too much but for me more than 40+ chapters of that particular troupe is enough for me. Especially when the story itself is only 70 chapters. I suppose I felt the unrequited love troupe dragged on and pretty prominent throughout the story because I don’t enjoy reading about such topics. I think I’m more aware because I don’t enjoy it.
Although I did devote 40+ chapters worth of my time, I dislike that troupe far too much to see how it ends. For me, Leewon was already pretty developed of a character and I wouldn’t have minded if his feelings for his bff were in the background but I feel like the author really put it to the forefront. And it just boils down to me not liking this particular troupe hahaha

around 45-46 is when there’s a major development especially in how the uke feels so if you ever decide to pick it up again it literally does a 180° on how it goes from there for their relationship (+ 1 year time skip).
