Honestly it's always disappointing seeing how a great premise gets turned in some predictable generic slop when it comes to BL. I was not able to finish this, because the Uke, who is supposed to be a trained solider/support, gets nerfed into a damsel in distress to fit the typical Uke role. Is it really that difficult to have an Uke, who doesn’t get pushed around and saved every two seconds by the ML. Are we ever gonna be freed from heterosexual Gender roles being forced onto queer relationships. I don't mind a certain amount of predictabilty or cliques in a story, after all this is a certain Genre. But at this point I rather watch paint dry, than be forced to read through another Bl where the relationship dynamic is solely based on visualising whose the submissive weak bottom and whose the strong protective top... -.-
