This is soooo good! I remember reading somewhere (I say somewhere because I've been looking so badly for the novel that idk if it was here or elsewhere) that the author cleared up the light novels compared to the web novel and that manga is supposed to have more fleshing out and better flow(this is from a novel reader comment).
The art is gorgeous! And as somebody nearing 30, I feel seen. Its not always just a need but its also a want for some people to work. Although for Sei, I believe it started from a need and has turned into a want. At least that's my perception. Reading am Isekao bl because of an anime wasnt in my bingo card for Jan 2026, but I'm throughly enjoying it! I really needed a good distraction and I finally found a great one!! (づ￣ ³￣)づ

This was my first nameverse! I'm not sure if all nameverse are like this but I loved it! It was fun to read, kinda cliché but the ML was really nice tho I didnt like his charater design, the art. The MC was quite pretty. The art is not my fav in this one. I dont like to see my bigger ukes being twinkified, it was my second read today and the same thing happened with my first read (cozy obsession). No hate on the twinks tho, its just that I like my bigger bottoms and twinks separately. Also, the art of Secretary Choi is hotter than the ML, argue with the wall. ლ(´ڡ`ლ)
The context was complex but it was explained well so I understood everything. The starting art is a bit over the place, sometimes they look beautiful other times they look awkward but eventually got better. Towards the end Huimin looked like a twink but that's okay, I still love the guy. Hehehe. I love the concept, like I'm literally in love with it, this could've been toxic but it wasn't! Everything was so well done, I literally only have one complaint, I want moreee lol. Really wanted more chapters with Iseo! Present Huimin is the MVP. His imagination of scenarios sometimes reminded me of Anya, they always believe everything will go their way, AND I LOVE THAT. Its greatly thanks to those 7 years and the disassociation that he's not miserable anymore. Anyway, LOVED IT.
I finally read this through. It was a headache. The first translations were good, explaining a lot. The ones after that were just bad and they just kept getting worse. Its better to not translate if you don't understand either of the languages. The story was so good so I kept going. I'm also glad that they showed that at first there was guilt for Wangye after coming back which made him be nice to his Wangfei which eventually turned into love and my boy fell hard, love to see that! Also, love that there are so many side couples in this. Best one for me was the emperor and his queen, wish we could've seen more! Would've been nice to see what happened to the army couple!! (●'◡'●)

It was good, its not perfectly done and it has pissed me off quite a lot with Yirim's behavior, even towards the end. As someone who has grown around sports and athletes, I can assure you, a pro athlete missing ONE training camp is not that big a deal. Maybe the author doesnt know it because it looked like their knowledge comes from research and not experience(as mentioned by the author). Taking care of your partner when they're recovering after a fucking surgery is not a thing to be annoyed about. It just shows how much your partner loves you. Well, it always did look like Cheongho was more purely devoted to the relationship while Yirim lived a lot in his head. While I do understand where Yirim is coming from, that doesn't excuse his behavior.
But for a first work, its quite good, usually the first works of authors are filled with rape and a lot more stupid drama but I'd say this was good. It was great (and extremely rare, probably my 2nd or 3rd time seeing it. And I've read close to a thousand bls.) to see a seme stop during sex when he saw his partner was hurting. Also good to see an uke enjoying sex (not as rare as the seme thing but still rare).
Cheongho is a GEM.

All the edits on IG made this look like a sunshine and rainbows kinda story. I knew there would be a chasing arc (NOT 2) as well, but I thought it'd be because of the seme, not the uke running away without ever communicating properly with his partner. I should've read the comments earlier to set my expectations right but well here we are. Still only on chapter 23 but I'm gonna push through and trust the comment by Empire yaoi and wait for the character development. NGL tho, Yirim is getting on my nerves. They're both adults, I wish he would just TALK. I mean if you're gonna run away anyway, just get everything out on the table!? Why are you so afraid? You're leaving anyway!!!! Huff
I've read 6 chapter Mangas with more substance than this. I made the mistake of not reading comments and just going off of rating. I kept waiting for it be worthy of being a 9 rated manhwa. The translation? Bad. The story? Not even mid, its just bad. Lots of cliché tropes just jammed up. Dont get me wrong, cliché and simple story can be so good to read as well but this was like just so bland and literally just emotionless. Maybe the ratings are by newbies but when you've real close to a thousand bls, this is just plain bad storytelling and a waste of time. Oh and there's rape between the second couple which is just called a "mistake" or just "sex" but lets be for real, that was rape. Even if you're a newbie and have nothing to read, dont read this, reach out to me instead and I'll give a list of so much better stories you can spend your time on.

It's good! I'm glad I read it after its completion. If you think about the time it was written in, it sure is a gem considering that yaoi at that time were mostly shallow and rapey. The ending is just a little bit rushed in my opinion, considering the whole manga otherwise is quite slow paced. And personally, I liked that it wasn't only romance focused but we saw the whole world it was built in.
I was so excited that I EVEN finished the novel, thats a first for me and I wanted to comment about that BUT I came back and saw that all my reading, read and want to read lists are cleared out. NO GOD WHY!! I had also stopped keeping tabs on my Now reading lists, to reads, and there were so many I wanted updates on!! At least I still have my already read lists written down in notes but this is so wrong ╥﹏╥ does someone know how to get them back?? PLEASE Σ(っ°Д °;)っ
