(Example: Is this shoujo like any other shoujo? What sets it apart from others? Is this action genre just mindlessly throwing NPCs around as excuses for MC’s explosive growth? Or did MC psychologically undergo many shifts to betterment?)
-Pacing
(Was it too rushed? Were too many details from novel left out? Does the story feel repetitive throughout? Slow-burns or not, I don't mind. But, was that slow-burn worth it in the end? Or did it end with the most cliché garbage that could be found anywhere else?)
-Character Details/Development
(How detailed/shallow each characters’ personalities are. Depth of their backstories/mindsets. Intricacies of human relationships are conveyed well. How characters develop as story progresses. If a villain, how and why did they come to be one? Don’t give me a, “They’re a villain because I said so. Because story needed filler. No details for villain arc needed. Bad guy just because he does bad things out of nowhere.”)
-Genre Is True To Its Nature
(If labeled as a comedy, was it actually funny? Or was the humor nonexistent or mediocre? If a tragedy genre, did my heart twist and turn painfully or did my eyes glaze over throughout the reading session with no emotion? Etc.)
