Y'all are a bunch of haters. I read the novel and yeah it sucked but guess what? I read the whole damn thing
Its cliche, frustrating, but I will never get bored of this trope lmfaoooo.
Please gimme a faint hope. Herdin will change his attitude? I know he's deeply traumatized by his past and the guilt he feels toward his father... I know he’s spent the last 13 years alone, with no one to lean on or believe in (which is the cause of his constant abandonment anxiety).... I know but.. does he change? I’m at chapter 110 and so far it seems like he’s actually getting worse.
Spoiler
.
He regains his past memories. He never hated her at all, he believed the curse that was put on them meant he couldn't be near her without risking her life, including Asiels. The priest and priestess tricked him into distancing himself from Blair and then they sent a mind controlled person to kill her, hopefully making him go berserk. He was the one that turned back time and his final wish was for her to run away from him.... which she did. The rest of the novel is just him groveling and begging for forgiveness which she eventually does and they live happily ever after lolol
U either die a hero or live long enough to see yourself become a capitalist villainess
