They lowkey "get together", but not really? like they stay with eachother cause they both have this sick attachment to one another. I havent read the novel in a bit
They end up living together. Jiwook will graduate and inform his father that he doesn’t want to take up his business and that’s it. He is insane and loves to humiliate Jiwook by having outdoor sex (and showing off when people pass by), and will take advantage of the fact that Jiwook literally can’t live without him. Jiwook doesn’t have Stockholm Syndrome, he literally has debilitating PTSD that manifests in hypersexuality. He will reach the point where he can’t tell what’s real or not, and even though Juyeon will get him pills that’s the only help he’ll receive. The novel basically ends at that, like there’s nothing else explored. No conversation about the past, no development. Just two insanely mentally ill people in the same house. There’s two extras as well and in one Jiwook tries to kill himself cause of the voices he keeps listening to, whenever Juyeon isn’t with him, of course he won’t die but that’s how bad he is. And the second extra was Juyeon getting Jiwook a dog to keep him company (that was his idea of help) when he’s not there and it ends up with Jiwook r*ping the dog. It got so much backlash though that Fallnick (author) changed it to Juyeon getting Jiwook an automated dildo machine as a gift instead (which makes even less sense). Basically this isn’t a story about complex people, it’s ptsd ridden porn.

Sorry in the first sentence where I mentioned the graduation I meant to say Juyeon. He’s the only one that graduates and his father has the business!
