Well, he DID seduce Ren to messed with him at first, and when he became confused with his own feeling, he dip out and avoid Ren. And when he jealous of Eric made advances to Ren, he realized his feeling and confess, but without coming clean about his first intentions (maybe he didn't remember or simply didn't think it's good to tell Ren that) and it backlash when Ren heard about that malicious intention.
That doesn't make him an Ahole??
The other guy is definitely worse from the beginning. He's been weird. He's not a good person. Eric is light and is 100% hiding something significant. Allen I believe was never with a man in the first place. He always had girlfriends. So of course he's going to be confused with his feelings and be confused with his intentions. That doesn't make him a bad person. It makes him human. Of course he's going to be jealous about someone who makes the person who he thinks he likes, laugh, and smile. That is called having feelings. That's normal. He's not a bad person at all. I feel like you were too immature to actually understand how it works. If he was generally an a-hole, I would agree, but he's not. He's probably one of the only main love interests that I have read that's actually trying.
