Eden has to have infiltrated the empire with the King of Somvenia, find Angelica, rescue her from Ranielo… and a war should break out that will distract Ranielo from being able to find Angelica immediately. Then, at the most critical point in time, just when he almost kills Eden amidst the war...
Ranielo will see Angelica.. then he will drop his sword and he will rush to her, madly, desperately… It would be that all Ranielo could see in that moment was Angelica..
Yet in that time, he feels a sword plunging into his back… through his chest.. It was Eden’s sword. Eden would have mustered up all his strength to try and kill Ranielo, and Eden would collapse after he had done all that he could.. praying in his heart.. that Angelica would not fail this time.
And with Actila’s power still active, Raneilo doesn’t die… he is weakened, limping, a sword through his chest.. and he is still walking to Angelica…
It was then, that with a distraughtful mind, and a heavy feeling washed all over Angelica’s face… only a few distance away… she closes her eyes and lets go..
She lets go of all the moments she had shared with Ranielo.. the sadness, the grief, the fear… the happiness she had experienced with him.. and the love and confusion she felt as she faced him…
She finally lets go… just as she’d let go of the arrow that had taken all of her power to keep still.
And that was when it finally pierces through Ranielo’s head.
Using the same bow that he gifted her, the same sport that he taught her, and the same pair of hands he’d resolutely keep safe and clean..
He finally realizes that Angelica had shot her. And he falls over.. and as his body failed to keep him up, his eyes never once left Angelica.
From the moment he had seen her in this bloodied place.. all he could think was to keep her away from there immediately.. because she will cry… and just like then, she will fear him once again.. she will turn back to her old self… and run from him… if he could just reach her….
Then, he finally sees it… he had seen how she closed her eyes.. and let the string go.. she truly.. wanted him dead.
And at that moment, Ranielo would lose his sight.. and Angelica would have known…
It was done.
She succeeded.
Tunia won over Actila.. and she could finally go back to her world..
Just as Tunia promised her…
She didn’t know how… but she had dragged Eden with all the strength she had left to that door he told her about.
Soon the door would open… and as Eden would regain consciousness, Angelica would ask him about the promise.. if he would keep it..
Eden didn’t know what was happening yet, but he would say yes. And as he struggled to regain all consciousness, he sees Angelica with a tear-streaked face.. and he hears her wail, a cry of agony… an anguished face… and he would hesitate a little, before he decides to embrace her…
And finally, before they would run out of time.. Eden would drag Angelica to the door… back to their own world..
What comes next? I’ll keep to myself. This is just my version of the ending to cope (there is more but I’m keeping it to myself because I’m a bit conflicted but well..) i hope someone makes a better au of this shitty ending by the author..
I read this 10 years ago as one of my first shounen-ai and now I’m about to go re-read it again. I remember how I used to love this author for their works.. So nostalgic
I have a big feeling that the uncle and older brother will get together. Yuseong is a natural “brown” hair unlike our mc which is the uncle’s type that was mention some chapter ago, and he’s also older which the uncle goes for. Definitely a foreshadowing. I see it, I feel it, I ship it. Can’t wait for the sides now cos I like their character design mwahahahahaha
I can already imagine their dynamic.
