I really wanna give applause to the author because I love the storytelling. This is how you write a story with plot. Each chapter, you become more invested. Usually, I hate flashbacks but this one, no, it's not tiring me. It's not boring because it is actually interesting to read their past. You can eventually comprehend and learn the mc and ml’s environment after reading the flashbacks. I'm glad after the mc’s pov, we're also able to unlock ml’s pov. Know it makes me wonder how the author will end the story. I hope it will not ruin everything.
U remember that one Rick n Morty episode where Morty pushes that author off the stairs at the top of the lighthouse? gives me those vibes

I can't tell as well only the author knows.
I mean their relationship is kinda complicated even tho both of them liked each other.
