Off topic, but Togainu no Chi and Shikki are the best. I remember watching the anime version and viewing all the choice one could make in the visual novel (not the wheelchair Shiki, noooo!). This was a few years ago. I was lucky enough to find many real paper doujinshi with my Shiki and Akira. I loved them so much, I was able to find the soundtracks too. So yes, looooove Shiki!

I am older and it’s rare to come across another Shiki/Togainu no Chi fan.

I am not sure if it is still in there but I have one photo of Gunji in my photo album here, unless I took it out.....yes, he is not the smartest cookie in the jar but this picture was very cute!

The voice acting and the OST saved it ever so slightly

I recently played the game again and cried (went for the wheelchair ending). At least he wakes up in the end. ( I hope you listened to his Drama CD, but there's a vid about them from one of the Chiral things on YT...)

Yes, I totally agree it is very difficult to run across another fan of Togainu no Chi. I think you are my first. As soon as I saw your pfp, I had to say something. I really hoped you were an actual fan versus just coming across a picture of someone and thinking he was hot (he most certainly is) and posting it. Well, I can’t talk because I have found a cute picture of a few characters here and there and then became a fan of something the character was in.

Now, there is absolutely nothing wrong with this because I have all kinds of pictures of attractive fictional people and I know nothing about them. I have zillions of pictures of sexy fictional characters I adore. I will continue to collect pictures of hot fictional individuals, I know absolutely nothing about or everything about, until the day I take my last breath.

Yes, the anime was interesting in an entirely different way than actually playing the visual novel or watching the visual novel be played by someone else. I watched the anime first before I even knew that there was a visual novel. Then, I just l fell in love with every single thing out there. To me, it really just wasn’t enough. I wish the story itself could just continue on forever, with me never knowing there was an end, if that makes any sense?

Dramatical Murder was one of the first things I watched after discovering the amazing world of BL. For me, Togainu no Chi and Dramatical Murder are my foundation for all of the things I love now. They were so interesting because they shared this really dark, crazy and insanely interesting side of things I basically wasn’t coming across from anything else I had watched or read at the time. I felt really happy because if games and anime like this, with no fluff, existed then I had a place to fit in. The Togainu no Chi visual novel had EVERYTHING in it, the hard to deal with situations, the anime didn’t dive into.

You know, I never even thought to check YouTube for a drama CD. This is now a mission to complete ASAP. I know I will need to listen to it for free because drama CDs are so expensive to buy/find especially if they are popular or popular and older. Do you think the voice actor for Shiki’s character was good? If not, I cannot listen because I always have my own ideas about what a character’s voice sounds like....maybe I am a weirdo.....

Everyone’s financial situation is a little different, but there is a company called Otaku Republic, I’m sure you’ve heard of them or maybe not, but I was able to find things from Togainu no Chi, purchased them slowly and built up a little collection of things since it’s so hard to find anything now. Everything the doujinshi were all reasonably priced. Also, I found OR has more merchandise available than any other place I found at the time.

Please feel free to correct me if I’m wrong and please give me the information of any place you know which might have a bigger selection.

I think it is so amazing you write fanfics about this. You are continuing the story, the dream because it’s really not fun to let anything you adore or something that changes you on a personal level, come to an end. People who love things like this are so appreciative and happy to know their favorites are always there. I am so happy to chat with someone who is open minded. Blind Play is, wow, you know. This one is interesting because of the setting. A serial rapist on a boat. You can’t just leave a boat when you feel like it and you would have to be very good at covering your trail and not making any mistakes in order to not be identified or suspected.

I am so sorry. I hope you can forgive me. My lack of an appropriate response must have seemed very rude and uncaring. My emoji response looks crappy and weird. I would never treat someone’s passion and love for their favorite things lightly. Yes, I really do. Do you think it is because the newest wave of individuals here are what I would politely refer to as “crusaders of fictional justice”? Togainu no Chi is gritty, violent, and amazing. It’s a beautiful masterpiece about life and death, playing out, without the sugar coating. I fell in love with the story. I think about a lot. Fluff, thank goodness no, but I am not sure the new schoolers could stomach it.

I have been surprised at the amount of negativity there is surrounding Yaoi here. You have to know Yaoi is more than likely going to take you on a wild ride when you chose to explore the genre. I am honestly baffled by it. Perhaps because I am older and pretty laid back and feel no need to make Yaoi something it was never intended to be.......I enjoy the wildness.

Tho this it started out as me googling "hot dark anime guys" and found the one of Shiki looking back in the alley and I was hooked. I searched high and low and it took me around a year to find an actual name and then I just stuck to Nitro+Chiral like glue. There's ALWAYS something twisted about N+C games and I agree that it's sooo refreshing to experience something without the fluff . Lamento (second game) is incredible, there's SO much music but DMMD is their biggest hit from what I gather even if TnC really grounded them into the genre.

Hikaru Midorikawa is the VA for Shiki and he's most famed for being an uke lol
But Shiki is one of his absolutely best seme characters, the low murmur and chuckles is mmmmmmmm *chefs kiss*
The playlists I found on YT is nowadays missing the smex scene, but can be found of you look hard enough (one is called Desire, that should tell you huhu)

You know, I have a board on my Pinterest just for Togainu no Chi. It was really difficult to find a variety of pictures so I wonder if it’s the one I’m thinking about it looks like the lights and stuff around him are kind of bright and I think it is full body but kind of at an angle. I am going to put it in my photo album here to see if it’s the one you’re talking about.

I was not able to find very many pictures at all to put on the board when I first started hunting down Shiki and Akira images. Did you find it difficult to find good images, that actually look like the characters, too? I do have a sticker I ordered from Redbubble and put it on the back of my car. It’s of Akira. I was hoping someone would recognize him, flag me down, and start up a conversation. Because if you could recognize Akira, on the back of a car in America, you are probably a hard core fan. Well, that was my thought process and plan. He is still on my car but I have not lured any super fans to me, yet!

I broke my own rule, went on Pinterest, selected a few from my board and put all the hottest pictures of Shiki I had there, in an new album here. I allowed myself three minutes so I could avoid falling down a rabbit hole. Yes, I was lucky enough to find that one too. The picture is divine, but what about him isn’t!? I do tend to always fall for the bad boys, serial killers, and the like.....he is so cold which makes his so hot!

Okay, you have given me some serious Shiki homework to do and I have to go to real work in four hours! It’s not the first or last time I sacrificed sleep for Yaoi......I really enjoyed actually chatting with a real live person who knows Togainu no Chi and the real Shiki! It made my day!
