I know this is fiction, but are we forgetting humans are also… well…Animals! Humans do have heat cycles where their libido is increasingly high due to hormones. Often during this time you are constantly horny and the sensation is highly frustrating. Men tend to have their hormones fluctuate around fall to winter which is when they experience this "heat" cycle while Women tend to have it every month during ovulation. Not only this but animals definitely notice the difference that means "hybrids" should KNOW when humans have "heat" cycles and are in their heat cycle even if the human themselves have no idea.
