I may be tripping, but as I understand it, after what happened at the end of the first season, Seoho's entire soul appears in the room of nothingness, the place where it all begins. Seoho and Minchan have a strong connection that transcends time, especially in that room, where temporal boundaries cease to exist. That is to say, at that moment, the timelines of Seoho and Minchan become blurred. Jeoseung Samsin gives Seoho the opportunity to leave the room and start a new life, which I believe would lead to him inhabiting Minchan's body. Juheon suffers from trauma, he has anxiety and an avoidant attachment style. How do expect him to behave? Do you really think he would be all dandy from one day to another after all what he's been through?
I really understand that this arc can be maddening, and you may like it or not, but that doesn't change the fact that from a storyteller point of view the author is doing a GREAT job.

I know that the situation is exhausting, but people seem to forget that, apart from Shuraka's age and inexperience and Tei's insecurities, there is also a major problem between them: their cultures.

In the novel MC doesn't paint to "fill that emptiness", he paints cause it is his language his form of expressing himself, the colors, the forms... are his words. That's why he is so good "reading" art, cause he understands that way of expression, that language.
And that's way he almost doesn't speak, cause he feels that he can't express well with words.

I just saw tweet from BWAT and Shuraka and Tei have an age gap of 13 years.
When they first met, Shuraka was 9 and Tei 22.
And in the present Shuraka is 24 and Tei 37.
