When yuri was showing extreme abandonment fear and anxiety, i thought the healthiest option was for him to learn to manage it and therefore not being in a relationship (which I assumed was the route author would take). The complete opposite happening just feels like his character development went downhill. His possessiveness felt creepy and unsettling and i hated the fact that it was taken so lightly by the narration.
Yea, yuri is smart and he’s pretty arrogant about it, he assumes he’s observing others from a higher plane if that makes sense, so naturally his own actions go a bit unnoticed, between the two he holds more control, with the only control on Mr Lee being his decision to stay, so I think it’s pretty accurate so far, character development for yuri would have come from a place of extreme, like a big fight or a Mr Lee confronting for once rather than being agreeable all the time, so that it taps into his ignorance to his own faults, unfortunately it depends on mr Lee on whether he keeps coddling or sets boundaries
No character is a cardboard cutout. And it stands out from every other work on webtoon. Stories like these are what makes you think deep
It was going good until the story decided to empathise with the psychopath. The last few chapters were romanticizing him as it showed his pov
hi so u might have understood the story wrong. there was so empathizing or anything hahaha... he recognized that he was a maggot in her life so he removed himself too!
He is almost seen through a tragic failed romantic lead at the end with how he couldn't get her and therefore does one final act of kindness by saving her. Also the role reversal that happens in the end too alludes to a romantic lens between them albeit toxic. It's not the relationship itself that is problematic as it can happen in reality but the author's intention to show that perspective after all that has happened. I don't see point in it other than the author trying not to make him unappealing.
i just saw it as the author portraying his view on his psychotic mental illness seeing as how he ruthlessly applied his own logic to himself (〜￣△￣)〜
Even though the romance is between these two, the guy has chemistry even with businessman. They should be a throuple.
This had a engaging start and things were making sense almost until thomas han was said to be the mastermind. Came out of nowhere. So many plotholes and lack of good reasoning for dave's murder. I really thought that initial female manager of hers would turn out to be an accomplice in crime considering she was suspicious until we never saw her again.
The initial chapters of this manga felt like ragebait with how many people were just caricatures of evil people and then their dying being a revenge fantasy. But as you read along you see the larger picture with symbolisms and also themes of isolation and what it does to a person. Yes the villain is over the top stereotypical portrayal of a psychopath but the story is well done in terms of engagement
If anyone knows whether this has updates elsewhere please let me know. I truly hope it isn't dropped. Loved the story.
The last panel of him bending over and begging is completely off. His head is to the left while large part of his torso to the right.
Something is missing in this work. I can't put my finger on it but it lacks a factor that would make it memorable. As if the characters weren't explored enough or perhaps ohran's journey was shown to be smooth sailing even though it was told to us it isn't. Like there is a smooth transition with no problems.
