I know it's been like over a decade for us, but keep in mind that their relationship has only been going for like a year and a half, and Morinaga told himself right before they started dating(?) that he needs to be taking things much slower, so I don't know, I feel like the speed of this relationship makes sense
Somehow this is the only slow burn story I actually love, because in fact Senpai shows development, and if you see it through the point of view where he was not only homophobic but he has no regards towards anything "love" related, he surely has come a long way and he keeps improving.
I sometimes get a bit frustrated with Morinaga's impatient attitudes, but, I mean, he's also learning and of course having the love of your life in your arms will making someone like him eager.
Hahaha that's why I put a question mark next to it cuz it's honestly hella unclear, but at the very end of volume 9 (ch. 12), when Morinaga is telling Senpai that he is moving out and going to work in Nagoya, he apologizes and says "Even though you asked me to stay by your side" and Senpai says "That isn't what I meant when I asked you to stay by my side," it heavily implies that he wants to maintain that super close relationship with Morinaga even if Morinaga is moving out. After that scene, I basically interpreted them as dating ╮( ̄▽ ̄)╭
"Just let me apologize in her place, I didn't raise her right so don't send her to prison."
Bro. This is her third strike doing something illegal because of her mental illness that you did NOT take seriously, and it escalated to attempted murder. Forget your "not raising her right" excuse, you need to learn this lesson about her behavior as much as she does. Doo-Joon handled that conversation perfectly
