the author's note was super cute. it's nice to see that some authors wish to write longer stories and develop the plot better, even if it's not viable atm. it really shows how they are dedicated to their project. i'm glad they managed to develop a second season for this, even though it wasn't my cup of tea.
i'm rooting for ajisai but i also recognize mai will probably be the end game... kaho annoys me a little, but since renako has been lying to her about being popular, i guess i can't really point fingers (but going out all the way to beat her just because she's popular (AND SO IS SHE) is way too much isn't it)

so i read both books and honestly this was pretty disappointing? i’ve read much worse bl before but at least i knew what to expect. to me ganbare nakamura-kun was marketed as a cute teenage romance just to have this weird situationship between hirose and otogiri, their *teacher* (+ nakamura being much more of a loser for some reason lol). it really doesn’t make sense to me
all the development between nakamura and hirose was thrown out of the window and forgotten for most of the chapters because wdym they couldn’t even chat like normal friends (i get nakamura has issues but i think it goes deeper than that… bcs they were really getting along during vol. 1's last chapter) and hirose going out with his teacher casually as if it’s not creepy as hell... honestly i feel sorry for him
also although in the first book nakamura also had some weird thoughts and stuff i feel like he got worse during this volume? the ending was so lackluster too… looks like he’s barely an acquaintance to hirose by the end
well i don’t believe my taste is amazing but if i can be honest it really isn’t great. vol. 1 was funny and the art is cute tho, that's all
