Right. I was disappointed too. So many open points left. Also, the pacing was off at times and the motions kinda stiff. No effort of the ML to show any sign of regret, being able to feel anything or not he just didn't do anything. I'll just remember him being a rapey trashbag since chap 1 lol. This pairing just didn't do it for me. Plus, MC got on my nerves with searching for redemption and revenge all over the story yet letting it go so easily in the end. I mean WTF.

Yeah, I wish it had a better redemption arc too, but I did understand that the whole premise of the ML's character was that he couldn't feel anything and was just starting to understand emotions, thus explaining why he was so desperate to keep the MC next to him. I feel like, with a stronger redemption arc, he could have been one of the best character evolutions, but meh.
For me the bigger mystery would be why did the MC suddenly fall out of love with his initial crush, and in love with the villain who just sprinkled bits of - not even kindness, just "look, I'm actually behaving like a human being for once" -
I really think this needed another season to make the ML a DECENT human.

Definitely! 2nd lead was worth shipping because he would have deserved a love. But suddenly, MC wants to leave the guy who'd do anything for him out of the blue? The break up reason was, as of what I understood, because MC sleep walked and seemed to flee from the 2nd lead so he let him go. Yet, after reuniting with the ML he still did sleep walk, as if he was running away from something. So why leave the DESERVING GUY in the first place? This whole story seems kinda uncompleted....as you say, we'd need a whole additional season for this to finish all the unfinished businesses going on. And to get a deserving, satisfying end.

I understand your point of view, but this story would have been perfect on its own....(Without the SA) With completely new characters, New places, new dynamics. What bothers me is that they had to completely overturn a story that had technically already ended.

just to add to the comment above. i see that people have been consuming too much toxic yaois that theyve started to think trauma, abuse, and suffering are the only ways a story can move forward lol like they seriously forget that there are plenty of other ways for a plot to progress, for a character to develop, or for a relationship to grow!! healthy relationships can be interesting too ffs. conflict doesnt always have to come from assault, manipulation, or misery. but i guess when youre used to consuming the same kind of story over and over, anything else starts to look "boring" to you.

I think the grandfather was a pretty big part of the story since the beginning. So calling it done without explaining what happened there would leave a hole in the story. Could it have been ignored? Maybe. If you like reading stories that aren't completely explained. I'm not saying that's necessarily something bad... most manhwas are called done without covering all the question marks. I just like it when the writer is thorough about things like that.
But I will give you this: the last season changed the vibe completely. I'm not gonna try to sugarcoat this. But me, I still like it.

I don't think I ever called it boring. I would stop reading it if I considered it boring. That's the thing I don't understand about people who are so triggered by this last season. If you hate it that much, why keep reading it?
That being said, relationships evolve in a plethora of ways. But life has a way of putting us against the wall whether we like it or not. And for me, seeing the person you care about stay by your side when things aren't all sunshine and rainbows is the true proof of love. It's easy to be there when things are good.
It has nothing to do with how yaoi are written lately... I personally prefer the fluffy ones anyway, so I'm not that familiar with all the toxic plots. I just like to see devotion through thick and thin.

I agree with you about the pleasure it gives when an author leaves no unresolved things or plot holes. I also like it when a job is well done. And I agree with what you said in the next comment, that it's interesting to see a couple in a stressful situation who still stay together and endure and face the problems. But I, in my opinion of course, think that maybe things could have turned out differently.... Yes, the grandfather would have distanced them with threats and all, but not to the point of reaching such drastic situations as the SA... (I'm not arguing with you, I'm just discussing ~~)

If we're discussing the idea of "it went too far," then, yeah, I can't dismiss that. However, I hope that the artist went this far (at least that's what I would like to see) to justify something that Taesung will be doing as retribution. No clue what that is, but for me this leads to serious character development, and I personally really like things like this in stories.

Maybe this whole situation can help Taesung develop his character, since up until now he has always been very "passive".

But, yeah, I think they got through most of their problems so fast. I mean, the mom was against it at the beginning but became their no. 1 supporter quite fast, with no real drama, mostly Haebom feeling guilty towards her. And even the problem with Taesung's father was pretty much solved before it even began (with the mother's help). So maybe this is the part where Taesung has to solve it himself?
