It wouldn't work play-wise if they were both doms or subs. The rules of the verse don't bend like that.

I'm not really expecting them to be switching dynamics tho but more of like.. hmm the mc still acknowledging himself as switch kinda thing?
On top of my head there is a manga of domxdom later be domxswitch instead of sub. The switch still acknowledges his dom desire as he was dom before. He satisfies it by doing commands to their pet if I'm not mistaken.
Not like this story has to be exactly like that (since he does said that he adapts to his partners) but just acknowledging that he isn't totally submissive ykyk (like he still feels that 'dom' desire/satisfaction being protective of his subs co-workers even after he and ml end up together)

I know what series you are talking about, but I'm pretty sure the both of them are high ranking doms in that one. It's why the former model has to get his needs met by commanding animals... which if you think about it doesn't make sense 'cause it's not like doms are satisfied just commanding who or what ever.

In the case of switches tho their urges aren't as prominent and most of them still have preferences. They don't have to have an equal amount of play for either side. In most series people don't realize a character is a switch at all 'cause they only ever present as either one.

It's just like people in real life. You can be a vers with a preference for bottoming or topping and just do the other when you feel like it.

It 'can' make sense if we remember that both of these stories are a whole different universe. Like if these stories are only dom-sub-vers in bed, i agree it's not possible they can be satisfied with just anyone. But they have these dynamics as their whole identity, or 2nd gender as they stated. I think of it like aboverse that a and o mc/ml/side charas can still react to random pheromones even if they don't necessarily know or like the other.
Acknowledging his dom side doesn't mean that he has to have equal play. The chapter does show him seem to have sub preference as he said he wanted to submit himself or something. I just don't want this story to make him like, forrrr eeexampleee, at the last chapter said his dom instinct has been wrong, he isn't switch, he is actually a total sub and has been mistaken all along. Him getting satisfied when being protective of his sub co-workers is pretty mild stuffs compare to his desire and that's enough 'for me' if they keep it until the end.

That's 'cause in this case the translations are absolute dogshit lol there's even one translation that says he should do play as a dom with his coworkers, which feels like it'd be a breach of contract and a HR nightmare. It's not that he doesn't think he's a switch, he obviously is one seeing as he can comfort his coworker subs when they are being mistreated, it's that he's got some sort of trauma when it comes to being a switch. When at work he's constantly in dom mode as part of the server/security staff. When at school he's basically a normal 'cause there's no need for dynamics in a classroom setting. So if we look at it this way, he's actually spent more time as a dom than he has a sub despite the fact that his sub urges are so strong. He's just scared to be a sub for some reason that we haven't been shown yet.

In the case of omegaverse ((don't use "abo" since it is a slur if I remember correctly)) betas can still sense the pheromones of omegas in heat and alphas in rut. It's not like they can fulfill the needs of either one tho since genetically omegas and alphas seek one another out instinctually.

It's the same case with domsubverse. Normals can't satisfy doms or subs 'cause they lack the pheromones the other needs. Sure, they can still have relationships, but it just gets messy unless the dom or sub is OK with simple command play ((like "sit", "look" or "speak")) without the sexual gratification.

Now there are outliers ((in this case switches and in omegaverse there are sometimes enigmas or whatever)) and ultimately it is up to the writer on how they want to interpret these rules. Sometimes switches aren't even able to switch between the two for some plot reason. I'm just saying in the case of a switch being with either a dom or a sub as a life partner it would make sense if they just never switched. Especially if they never felt the strong need to be both.

as you said, it all depends on the author to have their own spin at the end of the day. But my very first comment or complain isn't meant to say that i want the main couple to be switching dynamics. I only want the mc to still think he's switch until the end of the series, not, again, for examplee, said that he's only a switch because he's afraid of following his sub desire in this case especially he already said that he think this label suited him (or wtv the ai translation said; that's why i said total sub negatively). This 'complain' comes from the so many beta to omega stories that im confused since alpha/omega is already the most common coupling in omegaverse why the need to 'bait' and do that. Prob a kink of 'turning' someone idk but anywayyy
For a more irl exampleee of what 'i' 'want', is bi as the switch. Bi also can have one single preference of gender and can date that same one gender for the rest of their life. But there's still a 'difference', may be miniscule, may be not depending on the person (it is for me), that the bi person acknowledges themselves as bi instead of straight/homosexual. Although there are cases of ppl finding their 'true' selves later on, back to the point that this is a fictional story, i personallyyy think it'll be nice if this story still acknowledges that he IS switch even if he only sub with his partner forever

Omg nvm guys false alarm. I found the link again it's until ch 27. The oh hyung did die (?) but got revived for a while (?). There were a lot of mystical drama stuffs going on, og hyung and ghost were kind of fighting for life or something. Near the end, i think hyung kind of suggest double sui**** (i might be wrong but it implied kind of like that) and mc initially agreed that's why he left the ghost with his bank account etc. Then their grandma spirit came and said some stuffs, anyway it leads to the og hyung went to afterlife with the grandma the chapter ended with mc and ghost living together basically. Sad i was rooting for og hyung too
