the bl is really cute, and wholesome. People are being too hard on it probably cause they are too used to smut every chapter and angsty plots. This feels like a rewarding slow story to enjoy and not suffering in the process. Ofc you could expect more of them instead of just an ending like that but its nice.

He did say that he loves him tho in ch11 and he’s really not childish it’s actually the opposite, he gets jealous yet use it as a form of motivation, he’s considerate to others feelings(lecturing the uke about being rude, trying to change the subject when the uke outed himself)and even when they actually fought he was the one to reach out, he even said that the uke doesn’t even text first and he’s always the one to do so,even when he thought that he broke his leg(which means his job will get totally fucked up) he tried to make the uke feel better i think you misunderstood his character

I legitimately find it so funny that there are still people complaining about Yayima being "too nonchalant" when he's literally the one doing 90% of the work in their relationship. I think you need to reread this or something.
The reason they suit each other so well is because they're both confident and cocky. But if you actually pay attention, Yayima is the one constantly planning dates and hangouts. He even took Torikai to his favorite special restaurant a place he'd never taken anyone else before.
Unlike his shitty ex, his fragile ego doesn't stop him from celebrating Torikai's achievements, and in general, he's always the one taking the first step. He was the one who made the first official date invitation (even though Torikai had confessed, he had no intention of actually working up the courage to communicate that he wanted a real relationship until Yayima invited him out). He was the first to give the other his house key, he's always asking Torikai about little things from his past, like what he was like as a kid, and sweetest of all, he never hesitates to show his affection.
"He never said I love you" is funnier even now because after what his ex said, it's clear that even if he had, that would make no difference. For some reason torikai just seems to go through relationships fully prepared for them to end.Which is NOT good.
