Had to drop. I can’t with the disrespectful niece controlling her grown aunt and guardian.

The ML Spanish name definitions:
Cárcel = Jail
Escalante = scary/spooky
De Esposa = of Wife
So he is His wife’s scary jail LOL His behavior matches the name

    Jnc33 March 24, 2024 3:48 pm

    that's why I feel something fishy about his name. ( ̄∇ ̄")

    Escalante meaning the author uses is “to climb or escalate”

    Escalante meaning the author uses is “to climb or escalate” StoryofMinglan

    Ive heard that of using that version as well. Still “jail climbing to wife” is still pretty accurate for him

    StoryofMinglan March 24, 2024 8:18 pm

    It is. That’s why she used it.

    ( ̄∇ ̄") "the wife's spooky climbing jail" is now on my brain!

    StoryofMinglan March 25, 2024 11:26 am

    It’s more like “one who climbs into the prison of his wife”. Before anyone accuses the author of misogyny, like someone else on here did when they learned the meaning, the ML willingly imprisons himself over the timelines. If it isn’t her, he doesn’t choose anyone else. There’s also a reason why “wife” is used. That will be revealed in season 3.
