I really liked the premise of this story, which is why I started reading it. It really overpromised and delivered extremely lackluster and mediocre storytelling.
It was very robotic in nature: first there was this guy who played games, and he fell in love with his teammate from the game, and then there was also a dom/sub thing going on which wasn't really explored properly, and some very glossed over traumatic backstory of the previous job. AND for shits and giggles let's just have him find out that the teammate was his boss all along after almost getting raped and not even address that.
There just was too much explored in less than 6 chapters that it was all crammed into very few pages, to get on with the next thing they want to cram into the story.
Also, problems were never REALLY resolved, just kind of "fixed" in one or two lines.
There are so many great mangas and mangakas who do BL but they write a solid story and explore themes by fleshing them out and ensuring that every issue/problem they introduce into the story is well resolved or create an open-ending that is satisfactory for the audience to interpret.
It looks like the author doesn't have other titles under their name so maybe they're just learning. Hopefully, they get better.
No sane person would like this pos trash. Yes, we all agree.
BUT Kim Dan has been through it. He has been negged and treated like shit for literally ever. Abused, bullied, neglected, lonely, assaulted, dirt poor, no good job. And the only person who he knows is in the hospital dying. NOTHING was good about his life. It makes sense that Dan would mistake this as falling in love with the slightest decent nice gesture done towards him, by someone who he's been very vulnerable and intimate with.
I'm not saying this is the author's intent, but I hope that's the route they take. POS will get a redemption arc BUT, I hope that Dan realizes he wasn't in love in the first place, he is just experiencing some kind of stockholm syndrome or attachment disorder. Anyways I'm not sure how long this manhwa will be, but I hope it's long enough that Kim Dan goes through some character development.
Having seen how our dong-gyun grew as a character to respect himself and cut-off Jiwon until Jiwon proved he was worthy...I am holding out hope
Jiwon was shitty but gd jaekyung is on another level.
Changed my 2-star rating to 1-star rating and dropping. This manhwa is just gross. I really had hopes for the femdom and beautiful art, but it kept going downhill and now everything was destroyed. Oh well, i know someday i’ll get the fluffy, sexy, cute femdom story i want (i just gotta keep reading this awful excuse for ones until then ).
Omg i’m actually a huge fan of dhibi already!!! They’re one of my favourite artists! So nice to meet another fan <3! It sucks that most of their work is short though, that’s why i try finding longer stories, but they always end up being this kind of thing where it’s not actually femdom and just abuse :”(
YOOO nice to meet a fellow fan!! she does have this http://www.mangago.me/read-manga/until_you_beg_so_sweetly/ which is being slowly updated
But if that’s true the author has loads of explaining to do!! Like how can Nohae read minds?! How did Nohae send things while he was talking to other people?! idk it wouldn’t make sense if Nohae was the app. I have accepted that the App is some kind of a supernatural thing, which makes a lot more sense than if there is some human somewhere controlling the app!
I know some people are not finding them interesting but in my opinion I love that they are basically in completely different "leagues", it's so much more realistic because you can't help who you end up falling in love with. The difference between them creates harmony and makes them a lot more interesting as a couple! I also like how much less forced they are, like potato said something that really struck a chord with Heesung making him sway a little, and it really is like that in real life. Someone says something which attracts you to them, even if they aren't necessarily who you typically find physically appealing. Heesung was surprised by this, but didn't fall in love.
It kind of implies to me that Heesung isn't going to randomly fall in love again, and perhaps all this time he was never really in love with all those people, maybe he just had a crush, an infatuation, or maybe it was lust? But it makes it all the better that Heesung is confused by potato. Potato is a character that is not Heesung's type, and he is not someone Heesung is in love with. This makes it all the more real, and all the more likeable. I think potato may end up becoming Heesung's first ever true/real love.
That's just my take/predictions
