Honestly I don't see Maomao developing feelings for Jinshi. I read up until volume 9, the most recently officially translated novel I could find, and I don't see her developing feelings. In volume 5, Jinshi tries to make advances on Maomao, but he doesn't reciprocate, and Maomao asks "why can't he just pick someone else?" But idk reply if you think she does actually develop feelings, it's just imo I don't see it. Also I remember already replying to this but I don't see it anywhere here so idk but yea.

She does - in LN 12 which should come out by the end of the year (I’ve read till LN 11 - j-novels releases the chapters early before official release). I always go looking for spoilers, so know a bit of what’s coming in LN 12 but not any specific details. Can’t wait to read it!
