I feel a bit sorry for the First Prince. Yes, he was a bad person, but what other choice did he have? His father didn't care about him, and his mother just used him. Even now, he's falling for Perez's trap. He's just doing what they told him to do to get some recognition.
I do wholeheartedly agree that it's his parents lack of attention/proper parenting that caused him to be this way, but ngl... I'd honestly say it's all on him. The emperor doesn't give any fucks to both princes. The only reason the emperor is even giving Perez some attention, it's cuz Perez keeps on proving himself. Whereas Astana(is that his name?? I forgot lol) literally grew up with a big head cuz he thought he was gonna be the future king. He had aids/tutors literally gently telling him that he should do this or that, but this guy does NOT improve himself at all. He doesn't even try to listen in class. His mommy let him do anything and coddled him, instead of improving himself when he saw Perez, he just let himself go. Nobody told him to do all of these sht to get "recognition" LOL even the empress tells that he just needs to not do anything basically not cause any more embarrassment. But no, he's still all up in his head and became an alcoholic. I truly pity him in those moments where he would bed sad when Tia would straight up ignore him(as she should tbh), and he thought to himself that he didn't mean it and that it's all cuz she's ignoring him. So basically this guy is just doing a lot of crazy sht, cuz tia isn't giving him any time of her day lol But then again, my pity goes away immediately when I remember those vulgar things he has said, and the fact that he even tried to hurt Tia (the time when Tia pulled him to make it seem like he pushed her).
