I couldn't feel the lingering unease even when he was gone. Why? Cuz the main characters are strong ofc (author doesn't know that no matter how strong a human's spirit can be, the mind is very fragile and vulnerable. Mental scars can exist They even showed it through the devil's temptations influencing people easily. )
