Ao3 is the only place I won’t accept any sort of slander. I grew up on Ao3, it’s the only place you genuinely have to look shit up to find what you want/don’t want. No algorithm, just a place where ppl write and publish what they want for the right audience. People are extremely positive and nice regardless of how well the work is written in the comments and does not normalize hating for no reason. The mods are also quick to remove works that are actually harmful. So the fact people are complaining about it and making it an unsafe environment for ppl who’s been writing and publishing there way before makes me wanna rage war.

Literally, you can avoid that stuff if you tag it out. I’ve never really come across anything that bad but If I do I block/mute the author and move on. I’m glad ao3 exists, people don’t get it nowadays but lgbt/18+ content used to get banned alot in the past.
