the story is unique but it felt a little rushed, it would’ve been even better if there were some side stories

first of all I haven't even read the novel, but are people in the comments forgetting what he was like before he lost his memories? He was literally a murderer!! Did y'all genuinely expect him to become a green flag after getting his memories back??
I don’t think anyone expected him to be a green flag, but the extent of his behavior towards her is what probably takes people by surprise considering it’s not as if he loses his memories of the time he has spent with her so far.

What is surprising is the total void of affection or consideration from him during the arc where his memories return. Like did his memories of their time together not even sway him a tiny bit to not be so cruel to her? And he took it so far too! If you havent read the novel I think you should so you can understand where the people's sentiments are coming from.

Idk what people expected too? Like he was literally insane? He is just like this cause he lost his memories AND he was even scary at the start till she convinced him she was his wife.

Yup, after regaining his original memories, his memories with the fl actually becomes so fractured to the point where he wasn’t able to remember any of the sweet moments they spent together and only recalled the sex. And bcz of this, he’d been convinced that fl was this horrible person who worked alongside with his brother to manipulate him into being her “plaything”.
There is another reason (which is a major spoiler) but this is the overall reason as to why he became increasingly violent towards fl, to take revenge on her bc she’d “deceived” him (well, she did but not in the way he thought…)
Before anyone gets the wrong idea, no this isn’t me tryna justify his actions/behavior towards fl (bc he was a genuine asshole towards her). I am simply explaining the reason behind it.
Also I feel like I didn’t explain this well enough , lmao it’s nearly 3am and my head hurts, I’ll try to explain in more detail after waking up in the morning
