this book is not great horror. it doest the boring mistake that many crappy horror tales do, which is gore, then gore, then more gore, and more gore.
it loses the shock value, you get desensitised from the atrocities happening and it becomes a boring task to read it, the cases are all too similar and the shock value is always the same, a woman being abused.
the premise is mildly good, when i read the officers profiles it gave smth like criminal minds, but the content itself I'd compare to urbanspook's The Painter, just gore with no purpose

We clearly see he's already failed before and thinks he clearly hasn't had much if any real social interactions, let alone close ones. I think he just panicked and then kept thinking he could dig up.
ngl if i was yoo jihan i would not forgive him after the reveal bc HE HAD CHANCES to say who he really was before, specially after finding out how much jihan hates being deceived.
