Alright not sure someone will be able to help but... I got a notification from webtoon about a new comic, it was historical one with a guy and a girl dressed in historical Korean clothes. I think the girl was dressing as a man in the military, kinda like Mulan? And there was something about a kiss?
It looked cute and I wanted to read, but I swiped the notification and I can't find it anywhere. Help please!!

I think it was one or two days ago? It was a push notification (I got the webtoon app on my phone). I'm not sure bc I remember keeping the notification for a while bc accidentally getting rid of it I'm pretty sure it's at most from 3 days ago, but that seems too far. It was 2 days ago I think (so Friday for me).
Can you perhaps provide information about how the characters look like or if it provided a sentence or summary about the story?
I tried to think so hard about this so I remember in the image the guy and the girl were standing shoulder to shoulder (like, both facing in front of them with their shoulders touching?) and the girl was looking at the guy with a blush. They both had their hair up in a bun (yk, mulan style?) and I remember that part of the plot was about her faking to be a man. I think the guy was some important person? maybe a prince? They both had brown/dark hair.
After trying to search it like crazy, I think it's a CANVAS comic, not an "official" one... I went through all the licensed webtoon comics and didn't find it so

In order to find it I went to the website (using a laptop), then I clicked CANVAS, then I put the genre to historical, then I changed it to popularity and it was the first one to show up.
anyone got any rec for slow burn romances with a solid plot? I've recently read Guardians of the Lamb and I'm IN LOVE... the fl is not whiny or annoying, the romance is important but not the only focus. It's more josei than shojo. Any recs?

I think the story is great and the character fantastic, but this arc is so hard to get through. It feels like the author is trying to see how much misery they can pile up onto Sylas until it becomes ridiculous, and for me they crossed the line quite a while ago. I'm a big fan of tragic characters, but when literally NOTHING goes their way despite their struggles it really feels like torture porn. It isn't even about Gjord showing up, if anything it's the opposite: Sylas did so much on his own, you're telling me he'll have a reprieve ONLY when the ml shows up??? It kinda leaves a bad taste in my mouth
Well, most of Korean stories are centered in revenge plot, that's why whether it's by print or media, the main character always hits super rock bottom, then rise up and get their satisfying revenge. There's also an explanation why Gjord was not with him during the past 2 years and why he only shows up now and why his actions are also limited. Idk how much will be told in this manhwa but I fear I might spoil you if I explain further
It's just that, to me personally, Sylas has hit rock bottom... And then went lower and lower and lower and lower. There's a thin line between a well written tragedy and just finding new ways to torment a character for shock value, and I'm not sure the author here has managed to stay on the better side of that line. I get your points, both about "the revenge is better if the character has gone through a lot" and "Gjord has his reasons not to be here", but if it comes to the point where Sylas' latest misfortune makes me snort in disbelief instead of grieving with him, it cheapens his tragedy.
Just my opinion tho. I've really liked the writing until now and I'm going to keep reading.
