0-0 wait noooo!!! I wanted this to finally be a green flag!!

So, I do have a theory. The close up of him being sick is centred on the blackness/darkness on his body. This seems to be creeping up his neck in that panel and a lot closer to his stitches than usual. Could it be that the blackness/darkness cannot get passed the stitches? And when it spreads it causes him to be sick … rather than being sick that he kissed MC. This is what I want to believe for now.

If the blackness/darkness reaches his brain- would he then go full zombie?
