I wish Zig would have given him some good character development but rather she focused on Josh more and his character overshadowed Chase's.
I recognize when a work is the author's least favorite child and it sucks T.T
I hate that the novel is just so short that there wasn't room for anything, or it's that she didn't bother to explore the most interesting aspects, like Chase's suicidal tendencies, ever since it's revealed he's a victim with a lot of trauma he just sticks to that with Josh as his knight in shining armor. She also dragged Josh's revelations for no reason. I love Chase and I hate that got the short end of the stick.
Well considering the universe, chase part story is actually small. But yeah, since the whole universe is about Millers, Chase character exploration was the least. Even Bliss character is getting explored well in his manhwa. I feel Chase is overshadowed by Josh. I love to see stronger MCs but m sayin this only because it should focus on Millers more as the rest of the novels did.
I don't mind about Josh because I really love his character (he entered my list of crushes lol), but as I'm not interested in omegaverse in general, I don't care for the rest of the novels, the author could have easily expanded more if she wanted to but it's clear she did not. It only sucks for me because I truly wanted more of Chase, but I seriously hate stuff like "he became dumb because his pheromones fried his brain", I feel like that was her excuse to sideline him so much since it doesn't seem that aspect is of much relevance for the other family members because they're typical whore Alphas, while the thing I liked the most about Chase was that I had never seen an Alpha who despised being one. Many good things could have come out of that, but it just got cut.
Btw pls don't take my negativity as extreme, it's clear this world of novels is simply not for me lol
