Almost 90 chapters in and there's not a single shirtless Karas panel I guess this is one of those rare BLs which have little to no fan service but still
I can't find another BL novel or manga/hwa/hua that has a beautiful feminine character like Abel who is kind but also independent, naive at times but also street smart.
When I read the novel a long time ago, I thought If Truyde was not the villain and Karas was not the male lead, his dynamics with Abel was the perfect recipe of angsty and complex relationship; and Truyde could've been one of the most tragic and complicated ML in a BL medium. His whole character was brimming with potential. But alas, he's the villain of the story, I thought he could've been a good second lead. But maybe that won't stop some good fanfic writers to make a well-written TruydexAbel story? Now I'm craving for it.
And it's not just here on mangago but other websites as well. I've seen posts being "disgusted" and "dropping" and just never ending complain about the manhwa because Abel became a "Twink". The author/artist never tried to hide the fact that it will have a "beautiful" MC, that shit is even THE COVER and the summary of the manhwa and novel so what y'all yapping about? Imagine how tired we are.
Seems that the author skipped and toned down the beating Abel had before he broke free from those maniacs. He was far more injured as he was bleeding and half of his face swole twice its original size that when a certain character saw him by chance, he barely recognized Abel due to his physical state.
Iirc in the novel, Karas killed several doctors doctors who couldn't help Abel's situation. Manhwa Karas really is far tamer than his novel counterpart
Idk about y'all but I love that the side characters doesn't revolve around being mindless yesmen to the main characters and that they have their own goals. Makes them more three dimensional and complex, like a real person.
BL manga with proactive protagonist.
So many BL MCs are reactive in terms of story telling. I want the damn plot with the protagonist for once being the CENTRAL point of the story. Tired of pushover MCs being led by other characters- be it the ML or the antagonist- to move the damn plot.
You cannot convince me that trio is not Quincy-Eiden-Dante. The design down to their personalities.
I mean I get it, we can't get enough of Abel and Karas, but don't forget that the novel/manhwa is more plot-driven rather than character-driven I get that most BL stories are character-driven but still, it's nice that a BL has an actual plot for once
