I honestly thought the Prince would be chill, stay funny, a bit playful and everything since he is basically a playboy and REJECTED Chloe before (there shouldn't be any hard feelings on his part, hypocrite much?) but he is turning out to be salty AND bitter.
ofcorse. He saw Chloe as being not pretty, being boring, being low rank and being of no intrest. So when she changed, became more talkative and removed part of her wall, thats when he started to find the change interesting. He desided to try and play with her, after all he could always dump her when he was done, but she said no and turned him down politely and brushed off all his advances.
To the prince its like playing with a puppy that now sudenly has a new owner, he wanted it but it didn come when he called. So he tried to bribe it but it didnt want the treat nor his atention, and its eyes are bright, clear and focused on another man. Now he is jelous and trying to compete with said man, thinking that if he beats him then the puppy will come running back.
... That's incredibly... Immature and honestly childish. Thanks for the insight. It made me more disgusted with his character. I honestly thought he was cool with it and like an aloof playboy but he's just a spoiled kid...
Looking at it, it doesn't seem like he loves her since he never really interacted with her (e.g. never spent time with her, doesn't know what she likes or how she thinks). He only freaks out now that he realizes that she can leave him. He always thought no matter what happens, she will end up with him so he gave no effort whatsoever to get to know her or spend time with her. He only reacted after being TOLD that he's losing her from other people so it's more of due to reputation because who has ever been left by their fiancee as a man in their society? And because of him losing something (something not someone because he doesn't even know her enough to lose her as a person) he's been promised due to his own neglect and actions.
