I don't get why everyone is so negative? Yeah this vague open ending can be interpreted both ways but to me it was clear that it's not a final farewell for either of them.
Was it a final closure and satisfying? Definitely not! Did we get a resolution on Kyoujis and Satomis feelings? Yeah, even if that too isn't satisfying! xD
I think the author did great on giving a realistic ending that isn't clean cut just as in real life almost never are all loose ends are tied up...
I keep rereading ahhh its so good! Nobody cares about Prof as a person, seperate the music from the artist, reject him but indulge in the soul he puts in his sound.
Then there's Garam who struggles to share this view, he doesn't want to enjoy Profs music because he will not be able to seperate in from the person. For him getting to know the soul in his sound will be getting to know the person that Prof is. How can a heartless cold person like Prof also produce such beautiful soulful music?
