Both of them suck and I find it funny all the hate for the male lead.
1st he didn't abandoned her. He's a soldier and a high ranking on it is his job to fight in war she is from a military family she should understand that. neither of them wanted to be married NEITHER of them wrote to the other. Yes he in the wrong but so is she.
2nd If I came back home and heard rumor of my wife who helped with spreading those rumor by the way was fuk everyone I would feel some kind of way too. You set that tone. HOWEVER he suck az for being rough that night

It was implied she was pretty promiscuous prior to arriving on the "island" which was a turn off for me, but she put her experience to use.
