I don't understand why the MC is holding on because of someone who is old and frail, and already lived so much of their life. He should just off himself.
I know, if my life will become hell I will be like you lived your life and I won't suffer my whole life just to save you to live two more years. But for mc his grandmother was there for his whole life so the love and attachments he have, and especially the morals that she is my grandmother, my family, my blood do it's my duty to save her. Something like this.
Now we need a spin off for the side couple. Would be a great story

This is badly written. There's no way the MC would react like that to his abuser in real life after that horrible night. He's too nonchalant and a bit upbeat. The author just has a weird fetish
