hyundo and yuhyun had a heart to heart talk about things as they met again on the way to the meeting, yuhyun talked about how what would hyundo do if he were to become a chairman, hyundo just asks why ask now? yuhyun mostly explained that he always have seen hyundo as his rival and had the intent to be on his way, they're also alpha and omega. hyundo seemed pissed for where the convo is going but yuhyun clarifies that it's because he was an omega it's hard to find a footing as an alpha always snatches any sort of accomplishments or one-ups him and wasn't able to look at anything else (implying that romance wasn't even under his radar or hobbies) then follows up that perhaps from the very beginning, his father intended to actually hand the company to hyundo in the first place and simply wanted them to work things out together. as the whole industry in general were reluctant to entrust anything to yuhyun because he was an omega and also added hyundo probably knows that already too. yuhyun *is* upset and defeated that he just couldn't simply do this on his own and rather, is concerned about the company being taken over. he adds that he thought the company was his everything but actually he decided to give it another thought, asking hyundo to at least talk to him. (chap 37 end)
chap 38 was a continuation of chapter 37 with hyundo chiding that what does yuhyun want to hear? (like a "so?? what do you want me to say??") yuhyun just added that because the secretary was an underling, doesn't change the fact that he was still the successor and heir to the rival company (sorry idgaf about the secretary so idr the company name lol) hyundo just goes "ok and?? idc???" yuhyun was like still, it wasn't about the secretary but really about hyundo's wellbeing as he himself had experience of getting targeted by a security company too (who intended to target yuhyun it's the fragmented past flashbacks + the burn scar too, tbh idgaf too lol) tldr, yuhyun simply asked for things to be the same as it was before. hyundo left the place in a good mood to my frustration LMFAOOOOOOO like are you that easy?? MY BOY WAKE UP. YOU FORGAVE TOO EASY IM CRINE???? TT_TT????
anyw idk what happened there seem to be a skip or a brief timeskip (prob a few days later??) and yuhyun and hyundo were hanging out and had a sweet time and yuhyun started to mark hyundo out of nowhere (suddenly had heat-like symptoms but different, but yeah basically after all that mess yuhyun decided to mark hyundo then the fathers of yuhyun and the secretary had a confrontation basically cutting ties and business(?) and yuhyun's dad telling the guy to "stop meddling with someone else's son" and that was it. literally. chapter 39 was so ???? idk??? i mean good for them but let's be honest...wtf was that rape plot for if it was so easy then?? omgah bro im dead. anyw hope u guys have fun w the spoilers i wrote, i did this bc i also want to sanity check if im also not the only one who felt a massive whiplash LOL
So basically Hyundo has no backbone. Like I know you love him a lot but like come on.. forgiving him that easily? Just cause he finally communicated like y'all should've a long time ago? atleast give us a little bit of yearning like damn.. but then again, it kind of(?) suits Hyundo's character. I'm happy for them but we were robbed from a well justified and *needed* yearning arc from yuhyun. But ig he *did* really miss and like to mark him or sum js a few days later lol that's smtg

no problem! i bought the raws bc im a nosy bih lol but yeah, i expected hyundo to mull over it more and give both parties a chance to breathe but ig hyundo was just too weak when yuhyun kinda pleaded that he wanted things back to the way they were before and maybe gave hyundo like, reassurance that there's nothing in between yuhyun and the secretary but it's still fucking ass like, okay nice! everything's good! but now what? what was that stupid ass rape plot for, this could've started with hyundo catching the secretary making moves and it's still the same effect like, frankly i don't really get fazed by these scenes but the buildup seem so absolutely meaningless after that mess like really? that's it? idk atp im just seeing where the story's gonna go now yuhyun initiated a marking thingy with hyundo? ?? im still so confused bc it felt jarring tbh

Yeah I just read the raws for ch 39 and I was so disappointed on how easily he forgave him. It barely lasted 1 chapter before they were all over each other in bed again.
the end of chapter 39 kinda start to pivot that the secretary's family might do something like defy yuhyun's dad's warning about not meddling or messing with yuhyun and hyundo because they cut off ties with the company now there's no more pretenses. at least it seem it's trying to forshadow a threat, and also yuhyun now bonding/marking hyundo, they might actually start the actual babymaking since iirc that's the condition to get the chairman position anyways...we'll see how long this series will go

i'm trying my best to give her less flak but also, still just upset that her PD couldn't guide her properly, her not tagging/tw-ing the rape plot for example was a rookie mistake that kinda destroyed the manwha's momentum. the story had a steady flow too around season 1 pre-ending, i hope she organizes it better, her art is really pleasant to me, just sad that some chapters just go way too fast or dragged out lol
The rape not being tagged was a problem but the absolute atrocious way it was "resolved" was honestly the nail in the coffin.
We got 0 reaction from the victim and Hyundo after wanting to beat up the other guy in the chapter has literally done nothing else??

I'm pretty sure the author rewrote the whole season 2 after the rape plot, thats why the plot now feels all over the place, she was supposed to come back with season 2 a few weeks after season 1, which means everything was already drawn and ready to go, she didn't expect the swift backlash that happened after the rape from both the korean and international fans, I'm pretty sure she wanted a 'who's the daddy' plot, but we all decided to unite against her lol ppl were demanding refunds.

god i fucking wish i could answer because i was taken aback, saying things like "it's really nothing between us, i didn't side with him. it's because i'm worried for you (implying that the secretary's family aka company (as it's the MC's rival company) will target hyundo in retaliation if he killed the secretary. to me, it doesn't make sense in a way i'm never gonna understand chaebol rivalries but if i were to rationalize it, hyundo was kidnapped prior since they mistook him as yuhyeon. which yuheon was afraid that it'll happen again, and this is me trying my best to give the benefit of the doubt, i still think this is a bulshit reason as while that can be true, hyundo has the right to be offended and furious for yuheon's behalf.
literally yuhyeon calls this a fucking misunderstanding in the korean raws i was fuming because wym. it's not a misunderstanding you know that. and even if yuhyeon meant he didn't mean to hive hyundo mixed signals during the confrontation (like not answering if yuhyeon consider hyundo a partner/lover), it was still too easy, the whole talk felt unfulfilling as yuhyeon prefer to gloss over the broken trust and hurting hyundo's feelings. just simply asking to reconcile and explained his reasoning a bit poorly imo. it's why i had to vent bc ts bullshit, i'd be less aggravated if hyundo took a day to mull things over and yuhyeon to be more direct about actually returning hyundo's feelings, then again maybe this alone satisfied hyundo idk im just sad imo

yuhyun and hyundo start to really, REALLY talk. like they talk about their feelings and, yuhyun gave hyundo a rut inducer. saying that he's willing to start a family with him any time. he lays out that he has been tunnelvisioning that he failed to acknowledge hyundo as "lee hyundo" and just an alpha but this time he's sure that he wants him. hyundo's tears start to fall, saying that he waited so many years to hear these words. hyundo tells him that he's really at his limit so he takes the rut inducer that yuhyun gives him and tells him that there's no backing out. yuhyun says he won't (and rips a pack of a heat inducer ig?) lowkey i'm kinda glad? that they finally are at the same page but ehh??? idek i'm just happy? the bar's so low i'm actually pleased with the outcome L O L took forever DAMN

it was addressed but very flimsy, like yuhyun was focused on clearing the misunderstanding that he didn't have anything towards the secretary idr the chapter was on late 30s, i understand that it's not enough but ig yuhyun doesn't see it as a big deal as hyundo felt which ik does piss off hyundo and us as readers? it's the author's odd way of framing it as yuhyun dgaf about the secretary that he is focused on repairing the broken trust between him and hyundo which these past few chapters of s2 was all about. it's jarring but what can we do? chapter 43 is them committing to the responsibility to have a planned pregnancy lol
