Yes Jaekyung is a shitty person and treats Kim Dan like shit despite this being the so called chasing arc but yall gotta understand this series is gonna be 100 chapters long if you go back to season one and actually read what the author in the creator note said about how she plans on how the story is going to play out then you would know to lower your expectations of Jaekyung and Kim Dan to better themselves as people right off the jump and for the haters of Jinx not all Bl’s gonna be shits and giggles with sunshine and rainbows on the side if y’all wanna read something like that then move on with your day it not that hard yall acting like a newborn baby that’s crying because it’s pulling its own hair
listen up. I've been reading this genre for half my life. This is chapter 69, so basically Jaekyung has been the worst piece of shit through the whole manhwa, and we all know they will end up together. There is absolutely no redeeming quality in him and even when there are moments where he could show the smallest ounce of humanity he doesn't. There is no way in making this man deserve the MC as there is absolutely no character growth and if there are only 100 chapters like when tf is it gonna happen. It's like 30 chapters too late. No fucking way. Also you saying they both should better themselves, like what, victim blaming much, aren't you. This is not a dark story, where it is very obvious how bad it is and the abuser is presented as such like Killing Stalking. It is a story where they show you shit like this and romanticize it. There is a fine line you need to walk to present a story like this, but most BL and romance in general just try to justify toxicity and dangerous relationships. My issue is precisely that this is not an attempt at a dark story made well, but rather fetishization of extremely abusive relationships, where the author will make the characters act as if all the abusive never existed. This is why most BLs are NOT GOOD and WELL WRITTEN stories. Especially modern ones, where many push for darkness, but all they do is promote abuse.
I never stated that Jaekyung has redeeming qualities I Literally started my comment off with knowing that fact that Jaekyung is a massive asshole and doesn’t deserve the MC it’s not anything new, but for you to sit there and read what I said and then have it fly over your caved in dome is crazy so lemme rephrase what I said and make some points concerning on what you said.
Character development takes time Jeakyung has done whole lotta bullshit that I’m not going to defend but what I will say is you expect him to wake up one day and be a completely new person thats not how it works and I’ve also read stories that have better ways of doing this kind of genre but if they all where written the same it would be the same boring slop on repeat so however way the author wants to give her characters a development is her way and choice and we can’t change that fact
And yes they BOTH JEAKYUNG AND KIM DAN need to better themselves as people Kim Dan is a 28 year old grown ass man damn near pushing 30 he is able to make decisions in his life that would benefit him better instead of turning to alcohol he could’ve found a hobby that could’ve benefited his mental health or even physical health what since would it make for someone about 5 years younger to baby him. And as for Jeakyung he’s a raging narcissist with a massive ego on top of it this man has been the champion of his career for years and only has been around people who hangs out with him for his money and fame when he lost his championship title and everyone left the gym thats when he should’ve reflected on himself on how he is as a person and thought about how to better himself as a person instead of worrying about getting Kim Dan back.
I have not once seen anyone romanticize Jeakyung acts not once and if there is someone out there who is then thats them not me so don’t come over here with all that and, not once has anyone acted as if the abuse never happened I’m pretty sure everyone acknowledged the fact that Jaekyung used the fact that Kim Dan needed money to trap him in a sexually abusive contact and for you to say this story is promoting abuse is a crazy take I feel it shows awareness to how someone can get themselves in a fucked up situation by making a desperate decision
So a while back I was talking to one of my friends and he says he always wanted to play the organ(piano) and I had got the idea of him being dressed as a vampire as the day went on I started to think what if my whole friend group was a band of vampires who’s stuck there and have to sing to find their way back home so I told this to the whole friend groups and I even gave character designs/ descriptions and one of my other friends has low-key taken it and made her vampire character Her Oc and I didn’t mind but I feel like she’s taking over my idea and I don’t want to seem like a bitch by saying she can’t do that but I also don’t want my credit and idea stolen so should I ask her to give me credit when she posts anything related to it or should I not say anything
