i wanna point out in ch. 1, i like the detail “the kiss tasted like blood.” in the literal sense, it tastes like blood because there was blood on his lips. but it can also work as a metaphor. since they’re brothers, the “blood” could mean their shared blood or family tie, which is why the kiss tasted like blood in a deeper sense too.
