you know it's always these type of porn-plot stories that are literally the most intriguing thing...frfr I dont come across them often, but when I do....man it's always a GOOD time both smut and plot-wise

You know, i got hella impatient and decided to just read the offical trans for the novel on Tappytoon, but gotta say...it's just so interesting the creative liberities the manhwa is taking from the novel. Good thing i decided to start from chapter 1 instead of where the Manhwa leaves off cuz i genuinely can't expect the smaller details.
Not to say if they'll continue with it here or not, but it's just curious that they have Hohyun get a flashback and are making it seem like he's getting his memories back when he didn't in the novel (but there's a reasonable amount of divergence already so i have no clue).
Personally, I'm enjoying it. Since all that means is I can still comeback here every update and enjoy somn new
....you know a couple chapters ago I was ready to defend this man thinking "Yeah he's an ass, but atleast he doesnt manipulate and has done things somewhat consensually" but damn opening up the last few chapters so far feels like a vine boom to my soul.

Man I just love the thought of this story but there's so much to be desired...personally, I think if we were this close to the ending, they shouldn't of had that time skip, or at least added more story elements post-time skip to mull over. Writing-wise it felt like they fell through one day and made up the other with barely any touched-upon consequences in-between. Sure, we got to see Valeri's mental turmoil and therapy, but for Alexei? I'm pretty sure it was only mentioned that "he wasn't doing good" during the time skip and briefly got hinted the medical problems he was facing trying to change his secondary gender back and forth (i might also be wrong abt this, but im pretty sure they also hinted Alexei to be an addict as well).
Art-wise...well, if they were gonna conclude the story, I wish they took a more dramatic angle. To me the panels, positioning of characters, facial expressions just didn't feel desperate enough, angry enough, or tortured enough—it felt like Alexei said no, walked outside and went "nvm, yeah," instead of someone who had been debating with himself over if it was correct to be with Valeri since the beginning of the story. Idk, as a casual artist myself and a manhwa-reader, I kept thinking during Valeri's plea at the end, that tears weren't enough, he needed to beg and grovel, not just for the readers who felt fed up with his character but also because his character is supposed to be at the end of their rope, that it's either Alexei or nothing.
However, I did enjoy the story, as much as I think things could've been done differently (please, justice for Jurji). I do sincerely hope there are side-stories, I would love to see Alexei and Valeri's relationship be filled out more, and separately from the circumstances they were under beforehand.
