The author never let's us sit with the horrible incidents that happen and unpack it, no it always needs to cut to some light hearted joke. Like how she was stopped from going to the college she wanted to go to. I'd be absolutely crushed, but they don't even give the reader time to take in the impact before immediately cutting to something light hearted. And I hope the mc is written intentionally to be insufferable and will be confronted later. Because what do you mean you want to see her side of the story!?
I feel seen by the concept of being aware or feeling like a certain style doesn't suit you because of your features and it really hurts. For example, I've always wanted a style that leans more towards prince/cool like Ruka. But I'm average height, not tall, and with a more cute leaning face. Which is why at first I didn't understand Ruka and was envious of her like I am towards tall women who dislike their height.
