kaede's route once again remind me why I hate the original ending in the novel. he was actually the only one who was pursuing akira, was he a bit pushy? yes but he let akira has his space; hina literally did nothing and natsuhi was a friend most of the time until everyone confessed to akira and he decided to jump too. hiiragi and the president getting chapters after kaede makes no sense when 1 hiiragi's case is just straight up criminal and 2 the president was more of a wingman to natsuhi
I think I disagree. Yes you have points but Hina's way of trying to hint was different than Kaede. Not everyone is as forward as Kaede, yet still she was trying her best to compete with Kaede. She went to Akira's house and made food for him everyday. Also the author did her wrong she had SO MUCH potential. I love childhood friends to lovers dynamic so much but there were so many other ways to make them end up together and feels like the author just decided to choose the worst option ever. If you talk about the "childhood memories" part Akira and Hina had them so much more. I think they're cute together with Akira. Let's talk about Kaede and Akira a bit. Kaede had feelings for his brother instead at first and even hated Akira, acted like that was the first time he ever got to meet him. I think the childhood part (in this chapter) is absolute nonsense, just feels forced into the story to make Kaede's feelings more valid. I definitely agree on Hiiragi and president part (╥﹏╥) The author gave them more scenes and development in the original novel because normally they don't have much in the original route. But they're both adults and it's not nice from whatever perspective you try to look at... AND SORRY I TALKED TOO MUCH!! (;ŏ﹏ŏ)
never thought the hatano brothers dynamic would be this funny, eldest is a working adult, youngest is a teenager going through homosexuality and both don't know what's going on on the other's mind
so I was rereading the whole thing again cause I was bored and read this don't take too much and in the 1st chp he's like "all my family members are mobs" but is it really like that? parents are out of the question, but ayato has 3 guys in love with him and mc got 4 guys (including hatano) and 1 girl attracted to him, so obviously this guy is just trying to convince himself that he's a mob when in reality he's probably good looking, not THAT handsome but good looking.
I also noticed that is not only hatano's pov that he looks good, but everyone except his family and tojou, since in the early manga the mc is shown from yanagi's pov, and he has sharp features so that why he looks good (and of course hatano will look at him with pink-tinted glasses)
thank god the manga took a different direction than the novel, honestly I wouldn't be disappointed with the "original" ending being with hina if it wasn't so force, it sucked so bad because she didn't do anything apart of fighting with kaede and confessing to akira, other than that she didn't do shit and akira be like "yeah I can't see a future w/o her" be fr, anyways so excited for kaede's route ending, I can't wait to see both baby akira and kaede!!!
I think is funny how everyone are hatano this, mind reader guy that, and collectively forgot about mc's friend/acquaintance, the one with bad luck named koga, the bl world has tried to pair mc with him two times since everyone but them in their friend group are dating
I mention him since he's kind of officially part of the cast, the author recently draw him for new merch with mc, hatano, masaya, minamoto, ayato's group and ssr guy

chapter 70, 79 and 81, mc already said something like "I don't think the world would pair me with this unlucky guy" but both already went with the 'random guy confessed to them and turned those guys down' situation
Oohooo wow!~ And the plot thickens!! I never considered this guy before but now that you mention it makes the shipping wars more interesting. This character is very funny too with their bad luck lol, making MC have a lot of close calls with raising flags. This kind of conflict/dynamic will be very fun and interesting to follow. ε=ε=(ノ≧∇≦)ノ
