I AM NOT, I repeat AM NOT looking forward to figuring out how that damn jinx came about. Got me quivering in my boots because it just don’t make no sense rn
Okay I see where you’re going and am going to add to your theory! Because I can’t really see JK suddenly having a jinx over a few physical touches from sparring. Perhaps he fell for someone and they played him out and now the boy is lost in the sauce. Hence why in chapter 70 he was able to recognize that he is developing feelings for Dan, because he wouldn’t be able to recognize that emotion if he hadn’t already experienced it.
And while this is basically BJ Alex pt.2, I’m still looking forward to seeing it play out in their genre
Right, here we have it the classic cliché path we all recognize. I wasn't asserting that the bad luck is solely caused by physical contact through fighting. I'm saying the story can develop these themes; the first experience of physical contact can awaken a desire for sexual intimacy in a teenager, the discovery of their own sexuality and this can lead to the emergence of the narrative theme that connects bad luck to not having sex. Yes, the reason behind this could be linked to a lost love unless the author surprises us with something out of the ordinary lol
I, for one, am appreciative of his back story. Whether or not it’s meant as a redemption arch, I’m enjoying learning more about Jae since he’s really been a mystery to me from the start. Can’t wait to see Ms. Mingwa do her thang and drive JK crazy for Dan so they can both finally get their happy ending
Alrighty y'all, this ones going to be a long one
I wish I had let this story marinate a little more, but I just couldn't wait any longer. And once more I am proven that my opinions tend to differ from the general consensus because I FREAKING LOVE this story
Mingwa you absolute g, you don did it again!
So let's talk the man of the hour, mr. emperor. I actually like JK, and no, it's not because he's finally getting a redemption arc. I think he's been a solid character since season one. Mingwa doesn't just build up a character garnering so much hate without reason. She knew, I knew, you knew, we all knew we were going to melt for this man. And I'm a raindrop away from puddling. The edge, it burns so goooood
Here are my thoughts:
I'm going to need Kim Dan to keep doing what he's doing because it's working. Let that mf grovel because he needs to be HUMBLED. Now I'm not saying that JK upbringing is not an absolute tragedy and I'm not, not eating it up. However, I'm going to need some of these walls to come crashing down because this menace ain't you. In my opinion, JK has show his genuine self since season one - he saved Kim Dan from getting raped by the mob and paid off his debt, he's got this gentle air whenever he interacts with granny (love her
