yeah..n to be honest i’m kinda confused atm. if the author wants Arthur to love Jay as Jay himself or as Owen. Not only the physical is an issue to me but also the characterisation of Jay.
I said it, because there is just an underlying culture in our society, that is mainly predatory towards young teenagers, especially girls. Small, skinny, no hair, frail looking, big eyes, soft skin... all of that are things commonly found in minors. I get the size kink aspect, but it has to be done tasteful.
You can even see it in other media. Books and shows showing the love interest (the one who is considered the 'female' one) as frail, damsel in distress, you have to protect them, twink, ect.
I personally don't think my statement was an overreaction, but I can understand if it is crass especially if you don't really perceive/ think about these structures so much.
Oh, I can see your point. I think it's probably more Owen at the beginning, but should shift the longer the story goes on. It is after all the plot devise to bring them together in the first place.

Yeah I understand that sure. but i have No clue how you see pedophilia in relation to the manga. this isnt pedophilia because it's known that those are two grown men. the phrase you're looking for is fetishization of "youthfulness" which can be linked to pedophilia but is a entirely different thing on its own. (think dudes attracted to women aged 19-20) but that doesnt apply here since the author never created the mc with a goal of fetishization, or else the whole manga would be centered around how skinny he is. his condition (added for plot) makes him look like that.
What the manga does do wrong tho, is perpetuate the whole "bottom has to be teensy, frail and small, top has to be humongous" stereotype that affects irl gay relationships.
Those are pretty good points, and I can see how you might view this differently, but I fear I will continue to think the way I do.

this manhwa’s pace is enjoyable! you could notice how it goes from misunderstanding to cautious behaviour towards each other to having silent crush to confessions to genuinely afraid of intimacy to desiring intimacy to slow down the pace to addressing issues (hopefully next chapter)..anyways! a good read! fluffy pairs.
