I like that there were queer elements even before the gender swapping and the way queerness & and the confusion that comes with it and romance in general as a teen is being subtly explored.
The whole story feels like a metaphor for the young queer experience and I relate to it especially as someone who isn’t straight or cis. Plus just the way it explored gender roles is cool. I’m really enjoying and hope they don’t sexualise the students going forward.

Ahh I love switches and especially the fact that the top prefers to be masochist most of the time. Also this manhwa avoids the trope of making the bottom weak willed or useless compared to the top. This feels equal but they also feel like unique people who have their own issues. It’s nice and fluffy despite the seriousness of the background. It’s nice to see guideverse story that focuses more on building the relationship than on halfassed fighting scenes

As someone who actually LIKES non-con/dub-con fantasies & fic, this story was actually so rubbish. One of the most bland and boring and stupid stories I’ve read in ages. If the story is gonna be dumb, the smut should be way hotter to compensate but even the smut was lack luster and there was barely any character development & exploration. Not every horny bl needs emotionally deep explorations of characters but the author kept hinting at it and then not following up - that’s what got me. I like non con and dub con (in fiction & role play only) but I don’t like normalisation of rape - the way the MC laughed off the rape in the end was so jarring. Rant over
Feel dub con-ish because of the him trying to force pregnancy on Yumin by getting him pregnant secretly. It’s weird how casually his family talked about drugging Yumin as well. I really dislike when stories have such weird behaviours about top and bottom positions- you’re both men at the end of the day! Changing positions or being a certain position doesn’t invalidate your gender.
Other than that, I really like this story. The smut scenes are energetic and hot and the art is cute and I ADORE Go Yumin and his personality.

I’m really happy that they talked about how unhealthy it is to be obsessed with finding a perfect soulmate and how important it is to focus on what you do have - a good friend, skills, a job you like. Really rare to find that in manhwa and manga. I’m reading for the story and not the smut at this point tho the smut is great too
