It's a manga, black and white, yaoi (or shounen-ai) about an actor that works on a super sentai ranger kind of tv show and this actor studies with this other guy who watches the super sentai show every morning, he is a fan, but he doesn't know his classmate (not sure if they are actually classmates, but they study at the same place) is on the show he likes so much, because the actor uses a mask or something.
If anyone has any idea I would be so happy! Thanks in advance!
I'm bored af, but what are your opinions on Ivan of Alien Stage? I got surprised that some people think he is like an angel that never could do anything bad, but some hate him for being kind of brat and fighting with Till when they were kids. I like him, but to be honest I like most of characters in Alien Stage (I don't care much about Luka, but most are fine, I guess...), so I'm curious to see what people think
Also I know Alien Stage is not a manga, so sorry asking this here
Honestly wished we got more of Ivan's backstory (in the slums) in the main part of alnst, but other than that I think he is interesting but I don't rly think about him
i love Ivan so much could talk about him for hours but not bc he's a little angel nor a brat, i love him bc i find him very interesting : he never shows any emotions and dont feel anything really deeply bc when he was a kid he lived dangerously and was adopted by an alien, he understod that his emotions were useless and that it would be much better for him to act like everybody wanted him to. but the only moment where he really lets his emotions out and allows himself to feel something is when he is with the only person he is interested in, the only one he wants to understand, the only one he loves, more than himself : Till. when he fights and nags at him it's his way to try to get close to Till and to come into his world. he was capable of understanding everything and so he could keep up to the expectations of the aliens, but he never understood Till, why he is so determined to fight back, why he is so wild and different. and so he took interest and became slowly obsessed with Till, but the obsession turned into love. and so in his last moment he finally allowed himself to be true to what he felt for so long, thing that he never did in his life bc he was to taght to live with a mask constantly, and sacrificied himself for Till (ofc the forced kiss was wrong but we also have to understand that these kids were never taught what feelings are and how to manage their emotions, especially love). imo the whole point of alnst is to show how twisted love can be when humans are raw in what they feel (iykwim) and what will truly come out of them when nobody ever taught them how to feel and how to love.
so long in short i think Ivan is a very intelligent kid who lived behind a facade his whole life and who chose to die for the only person who ever made him feel emotions
Yeeah! So true, I think most of them would benefit of a more detailed backstory. I hope the anime that was announced a little while ago can do this.
Alright, what amazing reply, your writing was so good and interesting, that I want to rewatch everything now just to really see it (specially I'm not almost sleeping like when I watch for the first time). But, really, no jokes, it's like my teacher analizing a novel, but much more interesting, it's like a professional comment (does this make sense?). And, yeah, no doubt he is one of the most interesting characters in the animation. The message about twisted love can be what I like the most in this story
thanks im glad my rambling makes sense <3
I love ivan so much. I think most people dont try to understand his character who just decides on a whim to hate him.
