A few thoughts after the ending:
1. When marco retired and returned to earth his lover knew he was abducted by aliens, which means marco succeeded in making contact with them even though he wast allowed to make direct contact with anyone from earth. My theory is that he sent the other marco to earth to tell his lover that he was abducted, and didn't abandoned them, and will return in a few years. That's also why the lovers friends called his "the real marco".
2. When marco and his lover were at the beach and prepared to the party the lover mentioned the other marco and wanting to meet him but marco was against that because he thought they would like the other marco more. That means his lover didn't realize that the other marco wasn't the real one. Maybe the other marco came a few times and not just once and no one realized nothing. It's also possible that the other marco took a liking to his lover and something happened between them- another reason to not want them to meet.
3. It's so funny that "god" listened to Marcos request to try and live like the rest and without his power when the third person says the things he and the nun said.
4. I'm so happy to know that our lovely administrator won't be lonely after his retirement, even if "god" in Marcos skin won't even be like the real marco. Btw, I did the math- if one day in administrators time is 20 days in Marcos time, means that he worked another 120 years in Marcos time after marcos retirement, which also means marco and possibly the other characters are already dead by the time he retired. The fact that "god" took Marcos appearance means the administrator still thinks of marco as someone important. And even though the "god" will never be able to replace marco, maybe having someone who looks like marco will help him feel less lonely...
