im kinda hoping the story goes like this: they actually pull it off and go back to their world and the emperor goes crazy and manages to somehow figure everything out that she wasn’t the real empress and finds out how to get to her in their universe and does just that

In the main ending and "what if" ending , she gets the option to return both of the time , in the main ending she chooses to stay with ML (both immortal in a way , ml is undead but with a better functioning brain than when he was alive) and in the other one she returns leaving him behind like a dog (I mean ....it was kinda sad she left him he was waiting for her ) and wakes up from coma, eden finds her and they try to find the truth behind the novel . Theirs more to it but it's too much to write here

It's still a predatory relationship to be with someone you took care of as a baby, and it's also downright creepy and unstable to seek out something like that frrom a carwtaker. Just because the person is mentally unwell to inniate such relationship doesn't make you morally neutral to participate in it.
