that I wish they would have drew the Maasi way more ethnic.

Maybe more kinky kinda hair
More round noses, even if they are straight.

I felt like if you didn't put Maasi i would have never guessed that looking solely at the images.

Their hair looks straight, not kinky, coily and dredded.

That's my only issue, as a ts woman of color

    I think the author chose a non-nomadic or semi-nomadic part of the Maasai tribe. That's why they're way more modernized instead of staying within "the ethnic" part of ur opinion. And their hair actually differs. It can be dreaded, cornrows, ochred braid, shaved, or etc it depends what part of kenya or tanzania they chose. But sometimes because they're being forced/giving in to the government in modernization they're breaking taboos little by little. But I think the author just chose they're way of drawing based on they're art style.
