yikes! I understand why they are doing it.... but I have a hard time with that. Some time the beginning chapters are amazing and then the manga turns....'trash' in the middle and turn out okay at the end
In order for me to buy a manga I want to know if I will read it more than once and not get bored. That and its nice to have an online copy for when you travel.

Shoujo is NOT a genre. Shoujo is a demograpic aimed at teenage girls & it usually contains romantic themes and situations which the girls can picture themselves in. It can contain shounen-ai, light romantic relationship between two men/boys which the teenaged girls can read.
